Retirement News - As we approach the end of another school year, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Bob Ellis and Rosa Morreale on their upcoming retirements.

Rosa Morreale has gone above and beyond in her Learning Resource role, consistently supporting our students to help them reach their goals. Her dedication, care, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our school community.

In his time at Winona, Bob has contributed significantly to school life, sharing his passion for sports and helping to build a strong sense of community and school spirit.

Both Rosa and Bob will be greatly missed. We thank them for their meaningful contributions and wish them all the very best as they begin this exciting next stage of life.

End of Year Celebration – Winona School Council is excited to once again host our end-of-year celebration this Thursday, June 11th (4pm - 7pm).  This event will include pizza, snacks, games, an ice cream truck, and a few other surprises.  Feel free to bring your own lawn chair to best enjoy the afternoon.

This is a last call for small prize donations for our treasure chest. A collection box will be available in the office.

Recognizing National Indigenous History Month - Beginning June 1st, students will be learning about National Indigenous History Month through activities shared during the morning announcements.

During the week of June 8th, homeroom teachers will complete additional learning activities in class and there will also be two whole school virtual assemblies. Then, during the week of June 15th, at a time and date chosen by their teacher, students will participate in a walk in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21st).

Optional donations to the Mohawk Village Memorial Park may be made by cash or through School Cash Online. Please visit mohawk-village-memorial-park | CharityProfile | Donate Online to learn more about this important project.
